The rules for the new Disabled Classic Feeder championship, approved at the last FIPSed steering committee meeting in November, have also been uploaded to the website.
The 1st Championship will take place, on a trial basis for this year, at the same time as the 15th Classic Feeder World Championship, which will be held in Canale Ostellato – Ferrara, Italy, in April 2026.
Please note the following regarding the Disabled Championship:
“Each country has the right to present 2 teams to participate in the Disabled Classic Feeder World Championship. Each team will be composed by 4 anglers and 1 reserve, who shall be nominated before the draw for each leg. § From 2027 or 2028 onwards, as soon as the championship is properly structured and consolidated, only 1 team per country will be accepted.
Due to experimental nature of this championship, at least in 2026, a country may register one, two or three individual competitors instead of a team, if invited by the organisation. Those competitors will be ranked only as individuals, and they do not entry in ranking teams.”
