EVERYTHING IS READY IN THE NETHERLANDS FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
With the official opening ceremony, the Street Fishing World Championship is now getting underway and will kick off on Friday, 30 October, along the picturesque canals of Haarlem, in the Netherlands.
The images from the ceremony capture the atmosphere of a major international event and the enthusiasm of the participating delegations, ready to compete in a young, dynamic discipline that is gaining increasing recognition within the international sport fishing community.

With this event, we are approaching the final stages of an intense season of FIPSed World Championships, which throughout the year has seen athletes and national teams competing on a wide variety of international venues.
However, the calendar still has one final and significant event in store. In about two weeks, the FIPSed international season will come to an end in Japan, where the Trout Area World Championship will be held.
This venue carries a particularly strong symbolic meaning: the Land of the Rising Sun, the birthplace of Trout Area, will host the sixth edition of the World Championship dedicated to this discipline, providing a particularly meaningful setting for this international event.
Before turning our attention to Japan, however, all eyes are now on the canals of Haarlem, where the battle for the Street Fishing world title will begin on Friday.
